About me;
Search for Hemel Hempstead in Google and you will probably uncover two things. Firstly, it blew up a few years ago when the oil terminal at Buncefield went up in smoke and secondly, there is a magic roundabout there. The only other place with a magic roundabout is Swindon which is coincidentally where I was born.
You won’t find too many advocates of Hemel Hempstead, but to us it’s home – at least when we’re working. I live with my wife Julie and a schizophrenic cat called Guinness (because she is black with white paws). When we’re relaxing, we relocate to our second home, Perranporth in Cornwall, which we love because it is a beautiful place.
I enjoy creative writing and love any kind of game – particularly wargames. Those who know me well will know that I am a budding cruciverbalist – I like to torture myself with cryptic crosswords. When I’m not doing any of those things, you will find me with my head in a book.
About this blog;
I maintain a blog in my professional life over at Finextra.com but in that world, I am confined to topics of a financial nature. I wanted somewhere to stretch my muscles on just about any topic. A number of people have told me that they enjoy my writing. I hope you do too. If you do pop by, please don’t be shy – leave me some feedback or drop me a message.
